Consistent Pace with Steady Improvements Alberto began the race with a steady first mile at a pace of 9:20 min/mile. His splits displayed a notable improvement as he progressed, dropping to 8:31 min/mile by mile 5. Maintaining a consistent pace in the mid-8-minute-per-mile range through mile 13 is commendable. The fastest split was at mile 5 with an 8:09 min/mile pace while achieving his best division placement (69th) at mile 12. In the latter half, Alberto faced slowing paces yet remained focused, completing the marathon with a final time of 3:59:35 and an average pace of 9:08 min/mile. His determination was evident in the last mile, finishing strong with a time of 9:00. Encourage incorporating speed endurance sessions to enhance his late-race pace.
