Consistent Improvement and a Strong Finish Candace started the race at a conservative pace with a 9:12 min/mile in the first mile, ranking 98th overall. However, she consistently improved her pace with each successive mile, demonstrating effective pacing strategy. By the third mile, her pace quickened significantly to 7:25 min/mile, moving her up in rank to 51st overall. She impressively maintained this momentum through the race, culminating in a 6:59 min/mile for the seventh mile. This consistent improvement landed Candace in 41st place overall and 7th among females. Within her division, she secured an impressive 2nd place. Her final time of 55:00 for the 7.02 mile race highlights her significant progression over the course. Focusing on early mile pacing could further enhance her performance in future events. Being part of the Evolve Kickbox & Fitness team might have contributed positively to her overall fitness and performance.
