Impressive Pace Consistency Leads to Significant Improvement Ezequiel Perez demonstrated notable pace consistency throughout the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon, completing it with a time of 3:30:01, averaging an 8:00 min/mile pace. This performance shows significant improvement from his previous marathon time of 4:02:48 and an average pace of 9:16 min/mile. The shift from a 784th overall placement in 2024 to 271st in 2025, considering a reduced field, underscores his progress. Key observations from the splits indicate strong mid-race pacing: mile 6 and mile 7 clocking in at 7:11 min/mile. Maintaining these faster paces improved his standing to as high as 171st overall by mile 12. The latter miles showed some pace reduction, with mile 24 slowing to a 10:20 min/mile. Focusing on late-race endurance could further enhance future performance. As part of the Downtown Kruz team, Ezequiel continues to make strides in his marathon running.
