Pacing Improvement in the Later Miles Lori Wood from Las Vegas completed the 7.02-mile race at the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon with a total elapsed time of 1:15:19. Her average pace was recorded at 10:43 min/mile. Notably, Lori improved her pace significantly in the latter part of the race. Between miles 3 and 4, she achieved her fastest split at a pace of 9:50 min/mile. Her performance placed her 17th in her division, F45-49, which included several competitive participants. The pacing strategy showed potential, especially during the middle splits where both her ranking and pacing improved temporarily. Mile 3 was exceptional with a split time of 10:00 min/mile, indicating a critical point where she gained momentum. However, she experienced some fluctuation in overall placing, finishing 198th in her gender category. Maintaining consistent pacing or honing in on those faster miles could further enhance Lori's performance. Great effort out there, Lori!
