Consistent Pace Pays Off Omar Darwish showed a consistent performance throughout the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon's 7.02-mile race. Starting with a strong first mile at a 10:51 min/mile pace, Omar experienced some fluctuations but maintained a steady average pace of 11:38 min/mile, covering the full distance in 1:21:44. Notably, Omar's fastest mile was the third at 9:51 min/mile, demonstrating his capacity for speed. Omar improved his position in his age division, M25-29, ultimately placing 52 out of 1365 total participants. His pacing was relatively consistent in the latter half of the race, with significant improvements in the second mile, where his pace adjusted from 13:52 min/mile down to 10:03 min/mile by mile seven. For future races, maintaining the faster paces exhibited in the third and final miles over extended periods could lead to even stronger finishes. Omar's disciplined approach and membership in the MrsaNaries team were evident throughout the race.
