Consistency and Strong Finish Despite Challenges Hugo Chinchilla demonstrated remarkable consistency throughout the first half of the race, maintaining a pace close to 8:51-9:00 min/mile through the initial 6 miles. His initial split of 8:51 set the tone for a highly controlled pace, which remained steady for much of the course. Notably, Hugo's split at Mile 3 was the fastest, clocking in at 8:24 min/mile, suggesting a strong push early on that bolstered his overall time. In the latter half, Hugo's pace varied slightly, with a peak split time of 11:53 min/mile at Mile 11. His final push reduced this variance, finishing the half marathon with an elapsed time of 2:07:08, at a pace of 9:42 min/mile.
