Consistent Start, Challenges in the Later Miles Jose Guerrero, representing Amigo Tires, had an overall consistent performance in the first half of the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon. Starting strong, Jose maintained a sub-9-minute per mile pace through the initial miles, with the first mile completed at an impressive 8:22. His position improved steadily until mile 5, where he climbed the ranks significantly, positioning himself at 535th overall and 38th in his division. However, the latter miles presented challenges that affected his pace. Notably, after a steady first half, the split times gradually increased from a 9:47 pace at mile 7 to over 15 minutes per mile by mile 13. Concluding the half marathon at 2:20:45, Jose finished with an overall placement of 1025 out of 1772 participants. Future focus could be given to maintaining endurance in the later stages of the race to steady the pace and sustain performance throughout.
