Consistent Pacing and Strong Finish Ryan maintained a steady pace throughout the half marathon, starting with a swift 7:51 min/mile in the first mile. Although the pace slowed to 9:38 min/mile in the second mile, it improved significantly in the latter part of the race. Notably, the final mile was his fastest since the first, completing it in 7:57 min/mile. Overall, Ryan finished the race with a total time of 1:53:48, averaging an 8:41 min/mile pace. Ryan's placement also showed consistent progress. He moved up in the ranks from 852nd overall at mile 2 to finishing 446th overall. Within his division (M40-44), Ryan placed 32nd, demonstrating strong competition among his peers. Compared to his previous marathon performance, where he averaged a 12:00 min/mile, the improvement in pace is evident. Focusing on maintaining the pace established in the first mile could lead to even better results in future races.
