Strong Consistency Despite a Pace Drop Lorien Nightingale demonstrated strong pacing throughout the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon Half. He maintained a steady front-pack position with notable highlights in his division, securing 1st place in the Male 25-29 category. His initial mile started strong at a 4:20 min/mile pace, the fastest split of the race. The early miles were impressive, as seen in mile 3 with a split time of 4:15 min/mile, maintaining 2nd place overall. A decline in pace was noted from mile 5, evident from a 4:53 min/mile split, dropping to 5:23 min/mile by the 10th mile. Despite this, Lorien still placed 4th overall from a field of 1772 participants, finishing with an overall time of 1:05:29. A strategic focus on maintaining pace across the later miles might help sustain initial momentum in future races.
