Consistent Splits with a Late Pace Decline Allan Jay Garcia displayed a balanced performance at the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon with a final time of 5:13:33. Starting at a pace of 10:14 min/mile, he improved his pace up to mile 8, clocking an 8:23 min/mile split. The first half of the race showed promising consistency in paces, demonstrating a growing command over speed. Notably, Allan excelled between miles 6 to 10, where his pace ranged from 8:32 to 9:03 min/mile. In the latter half, Allan's pace declined, significantly affecting his overall elapsed pace of 11:58 min/mile. Specifically, miles 21 through 26 were notably slower, including pace drop-offs of 16:10 min/mile and beyond. Allan placed 73rd in the M45-49 division. Maintaining earlier paces in the later stages should be a focus for improvement.
