Strong Start and Consistent Middle, but Challenges at the Finish Max Lucero showed a strong start at the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon, holding a steady pace under 6:15 min/mile for most of the initial 10 miles. Notably, he recorded a fastest split of 5:42 at mile 6, boosting his position to 22nd overall. Throughout the first half of the marathon, Max maintained a strong stride, securing a 4th place position in his division by mile 16 with a cumulative pace of 6:06 min/mile. In the latter stages, especially after mile 21, Max faced a notable drop in pace, peaking at 8:46 for mile 24a significant change from earlier performances. This shift impacted his division placement, moving him to 6th by the marathon's conclusion. Despite some challenges towards the end, maintaining consistent effort through the first three-quarters is commendable. Focus on endurance for the final miles could enhance performance.
