Consistent Mid-Race Improvement Leads to Strong Finish Yessica Mendoza completed the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon 7.02-mile event with a final time of 1:20:12, averaging an 11:25 min/mile pace. A strong start was seen with an 11:49 split for the first mile, but slight drop in pace followed for the second mile at 12:27. However, the pace improved significantly from the third mile onwards, with a best split pace of 10:41 at mile seven. Yessica placed 44th in her division (F30-34) out of numerous competitors, indicating a solid performance among her peers. It is noteworthy that she progressively improved her pace after each mid-race mile, especially excelling in maintaining a more consistent pace in the latter half of the race. Focusing on steady pace management from the start could enhance future results, particularly maintaining the consistency observed towards the end of this race.
