His pace improved gradually from the start, dropping from an initial 11:16 min/mile to a remarkable 9:12 min/mile by mile 10. Between miles 8 and 15, he consistently recorded sub-9:00 min/mile splits, suggesting effective pacing and energy management. Ranking improved significantly during this period, climbing over 200 places from mile 2 to mile 10. In the later stages, particularly from mile 23 onwards, there was a noticeable decrease in pacing efficiency, indicated by pacing dips back to double digits per mile. The final three miles saw splits over 11:00 min/mile, suggesting potential fatigue.
