Notable Improvements and a Strong Finish Luke demonstrated a consistent effort throughout the marathon, showing a strong performance in maintaining a steady pace. Initially starting at an 11:00 min/mile pace, he was able to ramp it up to sub-10:00 min/mile from mile 6 and maintained it through a significant part of the race. Notably, between miles 7 and 10, his pace was under 9:00 min/mile, highlighting an impressive increase in speed. In the latter part of the race, specifically from mile 17 onwards, there was a gradual slowing trend. The final miles saw split times increase, reaching 15:56 and 17:24 at miles 23 and 24. Despite this, Luke finished strong with a complete marathon time of 4:45:07. Building on endurance towards the end of the race could help maintain an even pace throughout. Overall, his results demonstrate resilience and a commendable effort in such a competitive event with 1879 participants.
