Steady Start Meets Late Race Challenges Antonio Capabianco showed a promising start in the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon with consistent paces in the first half. His initial 1-mile split recorded a pace of 10:10 min/mile, improving to a noteworthy 8:41 min/mile by mile six. Throughout the first 13 miles, Antonio managed to maintain an average pace around 9:37 min/mile, indicating efficient energy management and pacing during the early stages of the race. However, the second half revealed areas for improvement. After mile 13, a decline in pace was noticeable, reflecting increased effort in the later sections. The pace gradually slowed, reaching 14:27 min/mile by mile 25. Despite this, Antonio finished with a respectable time of 6:24:27, averaging a 14:40 min/mile overall. In his division, M15-18, he placed 18th. Enhancing endurance and consistency in the latter stages could benefit future races, ensuring he maximizes his potential throughout the entire marathon distance.
