Strong Mid-Race Performance with Consistent Pacing Wesley DeVries showcased a commendable performance at the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon. His overall finish time was 3:30:44, translating to an average pace of 8:02 min/mile. Notably, he improved his time from last year's marathon by over 6 minutes, indicating effective training and enhanced endurance. The race saw him maintaining a consistent pace for the first half, with many splits under 7 minutes per mile, highlighting his ability to sustain a competitive speed during the initial stages. In the latter part of the marathon, there was a gradual slowing as reflected by splits such as mile 24 at 12:06. This deceleration towards the end is something to take into account for future races. Wesleys placement in his division (M40-44) was 30th out of a substantial field, reinforcing his competitiveness.
