Steady Improvement with a Strong Finish Rahwa Desta participated in the 2025 Las Vegas Half Marathon, completing the 13.1-mile race in 3:18:29 with an average pace of 15:09 min/mile. Her early splits showed consistency, with the first mile taking 11:34 and the second mile pacing at 13:24. Notably, Rahwa showed strength by improving her positioning in her division F19-24, finishing 64th. Throughout the race, Rahwa maintained a steady pace and demonstrated her capability to improve in later miles. Notably, she achieved her fastest mile with a time of 13:06 between mile 5 and 6, which is a promising sign of her endurance. While there was some slowing in the latter stages, there is potential to build upon this performance. Focusing on maintaining a more consistent pace could support future races.
