Consistent Pace Leads to Standout Victory JJ Santana delivered an outstanding performance at the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon Half Marathon, securing first place overall among 1,772 participants. Maintaining a consistent pace of 4:42 min/mile, Santana completed the 13.1-mile race with a total elapsed time of 1:01:45. His race strategy was evident as he achieved an impressive average pace, demonstrating strong endurance and tactical execution. Notably, Santana's tactical prowess was showcased in various crucial moments; he held the first position during seven of the thirteen splits. Even when briefly in second or third, he quickly regained the lead, particularly noticeable with split times like 4:15, the fastest split of the race. Splits 11 through 13 were run with consistent determination, each maintaining a leading position. For future races, maintaining the consistent early and mid-race control Santana demonstrated here will be key to continued success.
