Consistent Early Splits, Challenging Finale in Las Vegas Marathon Chad maintained a relatively consistent pace through the first half of the marathon, starting with an initial mile at 12:05 min/mile and reaching a slightly improved pace in miles 6 and 8 with times of 11:18 and 11:17 min/mile, respectively. Notably, he achieved his best overall position in mile 12, finishing the split in 11:23 and placing 1236th overall. His performance during these phases suggests a well-maintained strategy early on in the race. In the latter half, fatigue began to influence Chads pace, particularly across miles 17 through 26, all recorded at over 14 min/mile, increasing near the end with a final split of 19:38 for mile 26. Elapsed pace averaged 14:39 min/mile, culminating in an overall finish time of 6:24:09. For future races, working on maintaining endurance could prevent the pace decline seen in the final miles.
