Pacing Variability and Steady Finish Highlight the Race Jen Francis exhibited a steady pacing strategy for much of the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon half marathon event. Her initial mile was recorded at a pace of 10:23 min/mile, showing a strong start. Subsequent splits reflected a mix of slower and faster paces, with the fastest segments logged during miles 7 and 10 at 11:13 and 11:15 min/mile respectively. Jen's overall elapsed pace was 11:21 min/mile, leading her to a 21st place finish in the F50-54 division. Consistency was displayed in the latter stages as she improved overall placement throughout the race, moving from 25th to 21st in her division by the end. Comparing this to her performance in the previous year's Las Vegas Marathon half marathon, which clocked a faster overall pace of 9:53 min/mile, there appears to be a decline in pace. A focus on maintaining consistent pacing throughout could be beneficial in future competitions to potentially match prior race performances.
