Outstanding Performance Secures Top Position Trevor Giampa of Lisle, IL, dominated the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon with a commanding overall victory. Displaying consistent pacing, Trevor completed the 26.2-mile course with an official time of 2:23:30, averaging a pace of 5:28 per mile. He held the top position for the majority of the race, only briefly moving down to second place between miles 9 to 21. Trevor's strongest mile split was 5:09 at mile 16, while his slowest was 6:30 at mile 24. Nevertheless, his overall strategy was effective, with 16 out of 26 splits under 5:30 pace, showcasing his persistence and endurance. Trevor's strategic regaining of first place in the latter miles underscored his competitive drive and strong finishing ability. He competed against a field of 1,879 participants and managed to maintain a lead, finishing first in both his gender and division categories. Analyzing the pacing strategy can offer further insights, although greater consistency in pacing and managing energy reserves for later stages could be beneficial.
