Consistent Performance with Time Gains in Latter Miles Francis Lacap's participation in the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon's half marathon event resulted in a time of 2:01:28, tackling 13.1 miles with an average pace of 9:16 min/mile. His performance saw him placed 621st overall and 79th in his M25-29 division out of 1772 participants. This reflects a well-paced race with notable improvements as the event progressed. Analyzing the splits, Francis managed impressive negative splits towards the end of the race. From a split of 10:15 in the second mile to an enhanced 8:45 by the final onedemonstrating a solid stride in the latter miles. His efforts in closing the gap, especially in the mid to later part of the race, suggest an aptitude to maintain and even improve endurance as the distance increased. Continuing to develop this progression capability could further enhance overall race efficiency in future events.
