Steady Pace with Energy in the Final Miles Denise Martinez completed the 7.02-mile event with a total time of 1:42:46, achieving an overall pace of 14:38 min/mile. Notably, Denise maintained a consistent pace throughout the race, with her third mile at 13:44 min/mile showing her capacity for a strong pace amidst other slower splits. Her fastest split was mile three, which she completed at a pace of 13:44 min/mile. This shows a strong mid-race push, demonstrating her ability to harness energy when needed. Interestingly, Denise made significant gains in the fourth mile, advancing from her position to place 815 overall and 453 in her gender category, suggesting effective speed management. Although the final mile saw a slight increase in time, it was well-managed with a split pace of 14:37 min/mile.
