Consistent Start, Late Challenges Arthur Ferriola demonstrated a strong start in the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon, clocking an initial pace of 6:54 min/mile. Impressively, he maintained a brisk pace under 6:40 min/mile for several early miles, peaking with a swift 6:03 min/mile at mile 6. This early performance placed him consistently within the top 50 overall and among the top 10 in his division M35-39 through the first six miles. His ability to maintain a sub-7:00 min/mile pace until mile 11 reflects strategic pacing and preparation. In the latter stages of the marathon, Arthur faced pacing challenges, with lap times exceeding 8:00 min/mile past mile 17. The steepest decline occurred between miles 18 and 19, where the split pace dipped to 13:08 min/mile. This influenced his overall result, finishing with an elapsed time of 3:40:15, averaging an 8:24 min/mile pace. Focus on endurance for the latter half of the race could be beneficial in the future.
