Consistent Improvement Over Long Distance Brayden Elder showed a strong performance at the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon, with an overall time of 1:27:36 for the 7.02-mile distance, maintaining an average pace of 12:28 min/mile. Noteworthy improvements were made between each split, especially around the 4th mile where Brayden improved his place within the Male 19-24 division from 32nd to 25th. The pacing was relatively consistent, starting with a 12:59 min/mile and culminating in a quicker 11:21 min/mile by mile 7. Brayden frequently adjusted his pacing effectively throughout each mile, with marked increases in speed, notably during the third interval (11:41 min/mile) and the final stretch. While the 5th interval saw a slower split pace of 14:04 min/mile, the recovery was impressive in the subsequent segments. Going forward, maintaining the progressive pace improvements seen after the mid-point of the race, and targeting more consistent splits across all miles could enhance future performances.
