Consistent Effort with Opportunities to Sharpen Pacing Kathryn Laurenzana participated in the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon's half marathon event, completing the 13.1-mile distance with a time of 2:30:46. Her average pace was 11:30 minutes per mile. Throughout the race, there were slight variations in her mile splits. The initial mile recorded a pace of 9:42, her fastest, while the 12th mile was the slowest at 14:32. These fluctuations resulted in her final overall placement being 1191 out of 1772 participants. There was a notable improvement in her placement after the fifth mile, moving from 1047th to 915th overall by the sixth mile. However, she finished in the 113th position within her division (F30-34) out of 139 competitors. Kathryn's performance was steady, but the splits indicate potential for optimizing pacing strategy, especially in the latter stages of the race. Continuing to work on maintaining a more consistent pace throughout could yield improved results in future races.
