Consistent Start, Resilient Finish Daniel Guzman maintained a steady pace throughout the first half of the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon. The initial mile was completed in 10:31, followed by increasingly faster splits, reaching a pace of 9:03 at mile six. This strong start placed him consistently around the 800th position in his gender category. However, his placement fluctuated slightly as the race progressed, closing the first half with an elapsed time of 1:40:00. During the latter stages, Daniel managed his efforts strategically. Although some splits, like mile 18 with an 11:11 pace and mile 21 with an 11:53 pace, demonstrated a slowdown, he maintained composure. He concluded the marathon in 4:52:39, averaging an 11:10 pace. Considering the overall format, a gradual increase in pace could further enhance his performance. Good job on finishing strong as a part of the CCFD 17C team! Keep working on pacing strategy to sustain faster segments throughout.
