Steady Start, Challenging Finish Charles commenced the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon with a strong pace, steadily progressing through the first 10 miles. His pace notably improved from an initial 8:49 min/mile to 7:54 min/mile by mile 10, demonstrating his ability to adapt and increase speed effectively. He maintained a consistent pace between miles 6 and 14, with some splits as fast as 7:12 min/mile during mile 6, indicating both efficient pacing and stamina. As the race progressed beyond mile 14, Charles experienced a gradual decline in pace, reaching 12:07 min/mile at mile 23. This contributed to a final average pace of 9:08 min/mile. Placing 79th out of 81 in his division, his overall performance underlines the importance of maintaining energy throughout the entirety of the marathon.
