Steady Improvement with Strong Finish Mary Cubias demonstrated a steady improvement throughout her 7.02-mile run at the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon. Starting with a pace of 18:56 min/mile in her first mile, she progressively improved, eventually hitting a strong pace of 16:11 min/mile by the race's end. Her overall time was 1:53:29, with an average pace of 16:10 min/mile. Notably, her fastest split was mile 7, clocked at 13:34 min/mile. Mary's performance showed commendable consistency, especially in her age division, F25-29, where she managed to improve her rank remarkably from 106th to 104th as the race progressed. Ending 1113th overall and 646th gender-wise in a field of 1365, she maintained her performance well. In the future, focusing on maintaining a consistent pace right from the start rather than recovering in later miles could further enhance her race outcomes.
