Strong Early Performance with Consistent Effort" Katharine Ashley started her half marathon with an impressive opening mile at a pace of 7:37 minutes per mile, positioning herself well early on with a division placement of 20th. Her initial miles saw a strong climb in overall rank from 358th to 250th by mile 5. Her fastest split was the third mile, completed in 7:14 minutes, contributing significantly to her overall performance. By mile 6, Katharine had achieved her best division position at 5th place in her category. While her pace slowed in the latter stages of the race, Katharine demonstrated resilience, completing the race with an average pace of 8:44 minutes per mile and finishing 27th in the F25-29 division. Focusing on maintaining her early pace throughout future races could make a significant difference. Her representation of the GRACE Run Club was commendable, holding a strong position among 1,772 total participants of the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon.
