Steady Progress with Moments of Challenge Coby Hicks demonstrated a consistent performance at the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon. He maintained a commendable pace below 9 minutes per mile for the first 20 miles, gradually accelerating from an initial 9:30 min/mile to peak at a swift 8:06 min/mile between miles 15 and 16. This strategic pacing helped him enhance his overall standing significantly, especially evident between miles 11 and 12, where he moved up 135 places overall and 113 places within his gender, showing resilience and ability. As the race progressed to the final stages, Coby experienced a slight slowdown, with the pace shifting over 10 minutes per mile at the 24th mile. Yet, he managed to maintain a respectable overall pace of 8:48 min/mile for the marathon duration, crossing the finish line at 491st out of 1879 participants.
