Gradual Pace Decline But Consistent Finish John Rafanan completed the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon with an official time of 5:03:50, maintaining an average pace of 11:35 min/mile over the 26.2-mile course. He started well, showing a strong beginning with his best split at mile 6 at an 8:34 min/mile pace. His performance from mile 1 to mile 12 featured fluctuations within a relatively consistent pace range, illustrating his ability to manage a steady output over shorter distances. Notably, there was a significant pace decline from mile 15 onwards, culminating in a pace of 16:43 min/mile at mile 24. Although this affected his overall placement, his pacing consistency in the early stages shows potential for improvement. A slight adjustment to his pacing strategy might help maintain that consistency further into the race.
