Maintained Steady Improvement Carla Austin completed the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon half marathon with an official time of 2:33:25 and an average pace of 11:42 min/mile. Starting strong with an impressive 8:34 pace in the first mile, she showed great tenacity as her pace gradually adjusted. Her performance was consistent across the latter stages, maintaining around a 11:42 pace for the final portion of the race. In her division F45-49, she came in 49th place, amidst a competitive field. Throughout the race, Carla managed her pacing effectively but experienced a slowdown from miles 4 to 7 with the slowest split at mile 9, clocking in at 13:13 min/mile. Focusing on sustained pace for middle segments could yield faster overall times in future events.
