Consistent Improvement Throughout the Race Payton Sobala showcased a commendable performance in the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon, completing the 7.02-mile event with an impressive overall time of 1:02:12, logging an average pace of 8:51 min/mile. His progress through the race was notable, with each mile split reflecting significant improvements. Starting at a pace of 9:46 min/mile for the first mile, Payton finished the final mile in 7:39 min/mile, an exemplary fast finish that saw his rank consistently improve in the overall and gender categories. Most remarkable was his ability to improve his split times, particularly after the third mile, transitioning from a split pace of 9:51 min/mile in the second mile to 8:38 min/mile by the sixth mile, which contributed significantly to his performance.
