Domination in Division Austin Li delivered a standout performance at the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon's Half Marathon event. His completion time was 1:17:14, maintaining a consistent pace of 5:53 minutes per mile across the 13.1-mile distance. Notably, Austin excelled in the M40-44 division, securing 1st place. His split times ranged, with a strong start of 5:21 in the first mile and a steady pace throughout, only slightly tapering in miles 11 and 12. Notably, he improved his overall standing towards the race's second half, peaking in 12th place overall at mile six. Although Austin retained an impressive 1st in his division throughout, he finished 14th overall and was 12th among the male participants out of 1772 participants. Comparing his performance to his previous marathon, he has shown significant progress, with a pace improvement from 7:33 min/mile to 5:53 min/mile. Maintaining his splits more evenly, especially in the latter miles, could further enhance his future performances.
