Consistent Start, Progressive Slowing Teresa Carey, participating in the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon, completed the Half Marathon in a time of 2:32:26, achieving a pace of 11:38 min/mile. Throughout the race, Teresa started with a strong and consistent pace in the initial miles, exemplified by her first mile at 9:48 min/mile. By mile 6, her overall pace was 10:10 min/mile, with her position moving up to 68th in her division. As the race progressed, there was a noticeable challenge in maintaining earlier speeds. Mile 5 showed a split of 11:10 min/mile, and by mile 13, a pace of 12:43 min/mile was recorded. Teresa ended with a position of 118th in her division, out of 1772 total participants. Compared to her previous race, Teresa displayed improvement in sustained pacing over a longer distance. Focusing on maintaining mid-race splits could help Teresa manage her speed across the entire event.
