Consistent Early Pacing with Late Race Challenges Cristhian Barrera showed a promising start at the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon, showcasing a strong and consistent pace in the early miles. His split times remained mostly in the range of 8:52 to 9:06 min/mile for the first 16 miles, highlighting an ability for steady pacing. Notably, he hit a fast split at Mile 16 with an 8:18 min/mile pace, temporarily boosting his placement. In the latter part of the marathon, Cristhian experienced a gradual decline in pace, with splits from Mile 22 onwards dropping to a range of 10:05 to 11:43 min/mile. Despite this challenge, he managed to finish the race with a final time of 4:05:01, maintaining a 9:21 min/mile pace overall.
