Strong Start, Gradual Slowdown Alfredo Ramirez commenced the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon half with an impressive start. His pace at mile one was 8:17 min/mile, placing him in the top third of the M30-34 division. He maintained a sub-8:30 min/mile pace through the halfway point, showing strong consistency, with his best split of 7:46 min/mile coming at mile three. Notably, his position improved from 572nd to 312th overall by mile six. However, from mile seven onwards, Alfredo began to slow down. His pace dropped to 8:34 min/mile, escalating to 12:43 min/mile by the 11th mile. This deceleration affected his later standings, concluding at 680th overall. Focusing on pacing strategies and endurance training could assist in maintaining momentum through the races latter stages. Alfredo finished with an overall time of 2:04:42 and an elapsed pace of 9:31 min/mile, completing the race as 110th in his division. Well done on completing a challenging race pace!
