Steady Early Effort with Late Race Challenges Giovanni Roque Garcia maintained a consistent pace across the early stages of the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon. His first few split miles showed promise, with his pace hovering around 10:00 min/mile, particularly notable during the 6th and 16th miles where he clocked 9:37 min/mile and 9:35 min/mile respectively. These splits contributed to a solid initial showing, gaining him positions and allowing him to improve his place in the M30-34 division from 161st at mile 3 to 133rd by mile 21. In the later stages, Giovanni faced challenges maintaining his pace as reflected in his split times from mile 23 onwards, peaking to 14:07 min/mile. Consequently, his overall pace slowed to 11:14 min/mile as he finished the marathon. Focusing on endurance during extended distances, and maintaining pacing strategies could enhance overall performance for future races. His representation of team IYDID remains commendable.
