Strong Start, Consistent Pace Nicholas Reval executed a remarkably consistent race at the 2025 Las Vegas Marathon. With an elapsed time of 2:40:41, Nicholas maintained an overall pace of 6:07 min/mile over the 26.2-mile course. His pacing saw consistent splits, particularly notable in miles 5 through 16, where his pace consistently stayed below 5:56 min/mile. An impressive acceleration was observed at mile 8 with a split of 5:28 min/mile. This strategy enabled him to secure the 2nd place in his division, M25-29, out of a total field of 1879 participants. Towards the latter part of the marathon, maintaining a controlled pace seemed challenging as seen by the slowdown after mile 21, especially noticeable during miles 24 and 25 where the pace dropped to 7:50 and 7:37 min/mile, respectively. Focusing on endurance during these later miles could enhance future performance. Overall, Nicholas delivered a strong and consistent performance with tactical execution that can be refined for even more competitive results.
